Community Garden Box Use Agreement
As a member of the Redeemer Community Garden, I agree to the following:
If I must abandon my plot I will notify the Redeemer Office at (704)-487-5404 or redeemer@redeemershelby.com
I will keep weeds in my area under control. I understand that if my box becomes neglected, I
will be given two weeks notice to clean it up. If not cleaned up after two weeks notice, the plot will be reassigned or tilled in and I will lose my planting.
I will keep trash and litter from my box area, as well as the garden in general.
I will plant tall crops or plants where they will not shade neighboring boxes.
I will pick only my own crops unless given permission by another box owner.
I will NOT use fertilizers, insecticides or weed repellents that will affect other plots.
I will use only organic approved fertilizers, insecticides or weed repellents.
I will NOT grow invasive or illegal plants.
I will NOT bring pets into the garden. Pet waste is NOT a fertilizer.
Children must be closely supervised while in the garden.
I understand that Redeemer Episcopal Church, the Redeemer Outreach Team and the
other gardeners are NOT responsible for my actions.
I THEREFORE AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS THE Episcopal Church of the Redeemer FOR ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGE, LOSS OR CLAIM THAT OCCURS IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE GARDEN BY ME OR MY GUESTS.
I understand that this agreement is annual and must be renewed each year. Early registration for existing tenants will be from December 1- Jan 5th. After this there will be open registration and remaining boxes will be first come, first served.
This Agreement is valid until December 31st of 2023.
